In series 1, the programme followed a group of six pregnant women and their partners who met at a local parentcraft class in the last trimester of their pregnancies. Each character had their own, unique issues to deal with, from paternity fears to debt, divorce and even death.
Series 2 of the popular drama continues their stories as they embark on parenthood and face new issues and challenges as their lives continue.
Helping to set the scene once again and to ensure complete authenticity of a busy maternity ward, Medical Hire were involved in every aspect of the production.
The team supplied the complete maternity ward set and were central in the building of the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for filming. The set was furnished with a comprehensive range of maternity props, also provided by Medical Hire, which included an ultrasound machine and delivery room equipment.
The Medical Hire team were also on hand throughout the busy filming schedule, offering continued support and advice. Medical Hire’s professional medical advisors were made available to offer direction to the actors and the use of equipment during filming to ensure an accurate portrayal of each storyline.
In the Club continues on BBC One every Tuesday evening at 9pm.
