The Medical Hire team have been busy on the set of Emmerdale again recently, this time providing paramedic props and creating a hospital set for the latest medical storyline.

On arrival at the hospital, Lisa was conscious and seemed as though she’d be OK. But in a dramatic turn for the worse, she suddenly went into cardiac arrest and suffered a major heart-attack. Lisa’s life was left hanging in the balance and her family prayed for her to survive. In last week’s episodes, character Lisa Dingle collapsed in the Woolpak after her drink was mistakenly spiked with ketamine. The drugs, which had been meant for Daz Spencer but were put in the wrong drink, slowly took their toll, initially making Lisa slur her words and struggle to stand up before she eventually collapsed at her table. The paramedics were quickly called and came rushing to her aid, and after initial treatment, Lisa was taken to hospital.

Medical Hire were asked to provide a range of hospital equipment and medical props for filming of this new storyline. A range of paramedic equipment and accessories were supplied for the scenes in the Woolpak where the ambulance crew were in attendance.

For the scenes later on at the hospital, the Medical Hire team created a fully-equipped 4-bed ward for filming. This included hospital beds, furniture and a host of other fixtures and fittings making the set as authentic as possible.
