The 10th series of the much-loved crime-drama, Vera, concluded on ITV last weekend after 4 gripping feature-length episodes.
Based in the North East of England, series 10 saw DCI Vera Stanhope, played by Brenda Blethyn, and her team face another series of difficult murder cases. With twists and turns at every corner of their investigations, the team were challenged along the way, but with their determined leader at the helm, they were not deterred.
The team from Medical Hire were delighted to be asked to supply medical equipment and hospital props for filming of series 10 of the long-running drama.
For one of the 2-hour episodes, Medical Hire supplied a wide range of props and equipment to create an Intensive Care Unit film-set.
The team provided a number of medical machines and items of specialist equipment including a ventilator, a vital signs patient monitor, and a drip and syringe driver, complete with accessories.
A range of hospital fixtures and fittings were also provided including wall panels, disposable curtains, a patient call button, a nurse’s workstation with obs chart, and a nurse’s stool.
Other accessories and consumables were provided to complete the set including hospital ID wrist bands, hand sanitiser gel dispensers, a stethoscope, and a nurse’s fob watch.
In addition to supplying ICU equipment and props, the Medical Hire were also present on set during filming to offer medical advice. A specialist advisor supported the cast and crew with advice on equipment usage and ensured the medical equipment was setup and functioning as it would in a real situation.
