The first series of new Kay Mellor drama, Loves Lies and Records, recently came to an end following six dramatic episodes.
The series, which aired on BBC One at the end of 2017, followed the life of registrar Kate Dickenson as she tries to juggle her personal life with the daily dramas of births, marriages and deaths and the impact they have on her.
In the first episode, Kate meets a man who has come to register his new baby. Sadly, the mother is in a hospice dying of cancer as she chose not to have treatment in order to save her baby. The couple decide to get married before it’s too late and the episode follows their journey as they prepare to wed.
Helping to make this particular episode true-to-life, Medical Hire were appointed to supply medical equipment and furniture to create the hospice set. The team recommended and provided specialist beds and bedding, chairs, cupboard and cabinets, and a wide range of accessories.
