Medical Hire were thrilled to have provided medical props for brand new crime-drama, Safe, which was released for streaming on Netflix last week.
Written by renowned writers Harlan Coben and Danny Brocklehurst, the eight-part drama follows widower Tom who has recently moved to a gated community with his two teenage daughters. His new neighbours tell him that the community is ‘safe’, but things go horribly wrong when 16-year old Jenny goes missing after a night out at a house party. Adding to the suspicion and the gravity of the situation, a young man also dies at the very same party.
Desperate to find clues about Jenny’s disappearance, Tom and his best friend Pete start speaking to the neighbours. But as they search for clues, dark secrets are uncovered about the people close by in the seemingly safe community.
Helping to make one of the episodes true-to-life, the team at Medical Hire were asked to supply medical props for a scene involving palliative care. Equipment including a specialist bed, mattress and overbed table were supplied to dress the set, plus a wheelchair, oxygen tank with mask, syringe drip and driver, and a range of consumables and accessories for use during filming. All props and equipment were delivered to set to the film crew’s specific timescales, helping to ensure that filming schedules remained on track.
The full series of Safe is available to stream on Netflix now. Or you can watch the trailer on YouTube by visiting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IknUJ9VCpUk
